Elizabeth received an Honours
Bachelor of Science with High Distinction in Psychology from the
University of Toronto. Her course work focused on development, cognitive
neuroscience and psychopathology.
Elizabeth became interested in Dr.
Lynn Hasher's aging and inhibition work during a seminar on
cognition and aging. She was honoured when Dr. Hasher invited her into the
lab as laboratory manager.
As laboratory manager Elizabeth coordinates several research projects,
trains research assistants and
assists with ethics and grant applications.
Elizabeth is fascinated by cognitive neuroscience and hopes to explore
research opportunities in theory
of mind, memory and inhibition. She is currently involved in a project
examining the influence of
bilingualism on inhibitory processes. In her free time she enjoys writing
poetry, hiking and fishing
at every opportunity. Her creative work has appeared in several literary
magazines.
